Our range of in-person and virtual Power BI training courses is suitable for beginners and advanced users alike. We normally deliver tutor-led Power BI courses at our training centre in London, as well as organizing Power BI training courses on-site, anywhere in the UK.
However, like all our clients, we are having to come to terms with the Coronavirus public health threat and to adapt the way we work in response to government advice. Given the official guidelines regarding social distancing and the restriction of all but essential travel, we will now be providing live, instructor-led Power BI online courses.
We will strive to ensure that our Power BI online courses provide all of the benefits of our classroom training sessions and are just as hands-on and interactive. Our online classes are not simply webinars and will still be in line with our philosophy of learning by doing.
These remote Power BI training classes are small, with a maximum of eight delegates and each person is given remote access to a computer in our training centre and provided with lots of opportunities to practice all of the techniques being taught.

Power BI Training FAQs
What computer equipment and software do we need if we want to book an in-house Power BI training course?
To run their own in-house Microsoft Power BI training courses, organisations will need to have either a dedicated training room or a meeting room which can be used for training. Each person attending the training will need to have a computer or laptop running Windows 7, 8 or 10. Each computer will need need have the latest version of Power BI installed. Power BI Desktop is free and can be downloaded from Microsoft’s website. Fast and reliable internet access will also be required, both for the staff attending the training and for our trainer.
What Power BI subscriptions do we need before we can run an in-house Power BI training course?
If you book on-site Power BI training from G Com Solutions, you do not need a Power BI subscription. During the course, your staff will be given access to a G Com’s Solutions Power BI training tenant. (A Power BI organizational subscription is referred to as a tenant; and each Power BI tenant can have an unlimited number of users.) We find that this arrangement works best, since it separates training assets from your live data.
Do you provide any certification for students completing your on-site courses?
We provide certificates of achievement to delegates completing our Microsoft Power BI training courses. We can also provide Power BI certification training, designed to prepare your staff for the two exams required for the recognized Power BI certification; the MCSA in BI Reporting:
- 70-778 Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI
- 70-779 Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Excel
Please note, howeverl that the actual exams need to be booked separately, at an exam centre, and will cost each delegate approximately £130, plus VAT.
